Sculptural Installations
The following body of work revolves around the notion of home as a place of duality; home as a place of family connections and sanctuary, but also a place of potential danger, violence and destruction. The selected works explore conflict both, in the intimate as well as in the public realm, by playfully confronting the use of soft and hard materials and suggesting wounding but also exchange and communication between objects and fabric components in the work. The work featured here also addresses the gender relations, intimacy, sexuality and communication. Sculptural work from the late 90s was created as a response to the break-up of Yugoslavia, which started in 1991.This body of work reflects on the effects of war and violence on families and the community as a whole , as a result of the county’s disintegration.
