The featured painting series incorporate diverse approaches to the painting process; they utilize text, figure drawing, spills, organic shapes and mark making as a painting methodology and as a way of exploring  human condition, experiences, relationships and a sense of place. They explore human form as a porous frame intertwined with its environment by employing a reduced colour palette of white, red and black. By additionally using painting materials relating to home decor, such as house paint, plaster and chalkboard paint, along with the conventional painting materials, these works play with the concept of high art versus craft and occupy an aesthetic space bordering with design. Conveying the essential human emotions of love, loss and longing,  the paintings portray  the space, which is ethereal, transitional and not easily defined.
